TASTE THE PLACE: INTERNATIONAL SPRING FOOD SCHOOL

Villa San Remigio, Verbania, Italy - April, 12th/14th

THE SCHOOL

The Spring Food School is scientifically grounded in the work within the “Food, Place and Wellbeing” project conducted by Oxford Brookes University (UK), Università dell'Insubria (IT), Hertfordshire University (UK).

The project involved other Italian researchers belonging to Università del Piemonte Orientale (IT) and Università di Genova (IT).
From this comparison it emerged the need to construct a training course designed to provide methodological and interpretative tools useful for analysing the relationship between food festivals, well-being and cultural heritage.

From this comparison it emerged the need to construct a training course designed to provide methodological and interpretative tools useful for analysing the relationship between food festivals, well-being and cultural heritage.

In order to respond to the needs identified and shared among the project partners, the initiative intends to implement primarily a training-type activity, over the course of 3 days of stay and work in Verbania, including 2 days of training and 1 educational visit to the area and to the food festivals there.

The SF School also expects students to carry out a final project work. Participants will produce an essay, graphic or textual, as a result of their participation in the workshop activities, produced as a group and presented at the final SpringSchool event (Geonight).
