The recent booklet “Closing the gap on climate action – Building new rope teams to support climate-neutral & resilient living in the Alps” of the Alpine Climate Board (ACB) provides insights into how the Alps can become a frontrunner for climate action. To fully implement the vision of the Alpine Climate Target System 2050, the ACB needs broad support from different stakeholders and all Alpine citizens. But how to motivate people to join the ACB’s rope team, especially in this time of crisis and growing resignation?
Join us for our next webinar to explore how we can create a positive mindset towards climate action, how powerful local stories can inspire us to take action on climate change, and how they can create win-win solutions in improving quality of life in the Alps. Our inputs will look at drivers (and motivations) for behavioural change, focusing on mitigation and adaptation to climate change, and representatives from the good practices featured in the ACB booklet will share their experiences with us. Together, we want to develop ideas on how to transform the mindset on climate action from a picture of uncertainty and regulation into a positive and motivating one.
We are proud to have Stéphane Labranche, independent researcher and social climatologist, to share information and exchange with during the webinar.
The webinar will take place on Thursday, 15 December 2022, 15.30-17.00, online (Zoom).
